My New to me 1995 S14

Car stats: 1995 nissan 240sx se 150k on the stock ka24de non turbo bone stock except a few things

Plan for the car: just a nice everyday driver to work with a little clean style

Picked the car up from a family members friend for 400$

I'm probably going to piss a lot of you off but i have a few questions this is my first Nissan actually my first car, I've owned nothing but jeeps in the past. i have mechanical knowledge just no experience with with foreign cars. So first off i know i have a almost stock car, body is in amazing condition the interior needs work like carpet and seats which i just ordered. The thing that concerns me is the engine bay by the looks of it the previous owner hacked a cold air intake in it by cutting the MAF sensor so that he could slip on a cheap filter thats the easy problem. My biggest concern is the head bolts are all miss matched which tells me the previous owner must have tinkered in the engine, see what i dont know is if he replaced the head gasket or just the valve cover gasket bc the gasket looks sketchy as hell and on top of that the two bolts that mount the coils onto the head, one of them is snapped off into the head so i was wondering can i drill that out and re tap it.

Is the valve cover leaking oil? It might have been replaced like you said. Either than or it had the notorious KA timing chain rattle. As far as the broken studs/bolts, drill/tap them out. Take a couple of the good ones, match the threads and get new hard ware. Doesnt need to be grade 8, torque range for the valve cover is soft, like 15 ft lbs max.

If being a "tool" means suggesting you to follow the rules and use the appropriate threads, then sure.

People warned you about people "yelling at you" because your thread is pointless. You scored on one of the cleaner chassis, does it deserve it's own thread? I'm on the side that says no.

We have a picture thread for you to share your pictures. We have a small questions thread to ask questions. If you were looking for praise on your purchase and your future plans, stick to social networks.

See thats where i respectfully disagree with u im not going to put my question in a thread thats just going to bury it that may sound arrogant or selfish but i want suggestions and answers and i included a picture bc i wanted to give ppl an idea of my car and what il be working on so i honestly dont see a problem here.

The rules are so easy to follow, yet we still get these guys who can't understand them.

Because for some reason you can't comprehend how this forum works.
Also your too lazy to type shit out.

Come back when you have something more interesting than a stock S14.

Build threads:
Almost everyone enjoys building their cars and sharing that experience, as well as checking out others' builds for inspiration. Sadly, far too many users have a tendency to do half-hearted builds and either rarely update or update with trivial progress. In the interest of keeping the Chat forum clear of three hundred 'Install SR, ziptie aero, rattlecan paint' threads, incomplete, or in-progress build threads are not allowed. If you have completed your build, wrangle all those pictures into a post and tell us about it, but make sure the build is finalized. If you insist on having an in-progress build, Premium members have a specialized subforum for that specific purpose.
Very. Simple.

Also you should know that using your full name on a forum and having a searchable FaceBook account is a bad combo.
