You bent your subframe on the rumble strips at the track!!!??? That must have been one NASTY curb! Pull the rear wheels off and inspect all the suspension arms VERY closely. It is much more likely that you bent another arm than the subframe, that's a pretty damn strong piece!

If the RUCA or trac arm is bent it will throw the rest of the suspension off. The toe arms bend SUPER EASY! Like I said check it VERY closely, you'll most likely find another arm bent. |

Fix the brake line and get an alignment. Hopefully you saved the printout the last time you got an alignment done.. If you ever did.. which hopefully you did for instances like this.. lol. This way, you can compare to see what is thrown off.. If not.. Talk to the guy who is doing your alignment.. Tell him you'll throw him an Andrew Jackson if he can help you out and give you some advice. Usually alignment guys are fucken wierdos... And really know their shit. Odd bunch of people...But yeah, ask a pro who does alignments all day.

back in 2002 when i was 'trying' to drift, i hit the rear passenger wheel on a curb, pretty badly. i had to replace the lower control arm, traction arm, toe arm, and spindle.

all it cost me was 6 to 10hrs worth of time. my friend was parting out his wrecked 240 and he happened to have all the parts. so he hooked it up, just as long i got the work done that same day.
many members upgrade these multi-link arms to after-market, so im pretty sure you'll find somebody with spares. go ahead and post in the want to buy section. good luck |

The subframe doesn't bend easily, but you can break a mounting staunch off where the Aarm mounts pretty easily.

if the mounting staunch is messed up do i have to replace the whole subframe or can that be renewed? i know its a part of the subframe but can anything be done bout that? the staunch is not bent or anything but a little bit bent on the tips but the lower control arm fit on fine? it should be ok right?

one of the first times i went "drifting" i slid hard into a curb and bent the toe rod, lca, and mounting point on the subframe. it was a royal pita to replace the whole subframe, but i found one used from a junkyard for $125 with all the stock rear arms still attached, and then it took about 8 hours to do (i did it on jackstands and it was effing miserable)
