Ok i have an 92 s13 it has a major parasitic drain i cant find were at. I relocated the battery to the back then one night of spirited driving my tool box opened up hit the battery then grounded out the battery. I bought a new batt my car fired right up one time now my fuel pump doesnt prime i checked all the fuses and changed all the relays. I checked my engine harness its good i checked the engine bay/headlight harness it seems to be the interior harness.????? Has anyone had this prob there battery grounding out then there car had a drain. HELP 240sx GURUs

Impossible, your talking about the CPS? camshaft position sensor? I tossed my CAS in the garbage. The ECU has nothing to do with a fuel pump relay. There could be a burn in any one of your harnesses, and you would almost have to strip the insulation to find it. Follow the FSM, your fuel pump relay/harness is fried, or your fried your fuel pump. I know you didnt change your fuel pump relay, did you order all new OEM relays from nissan? thats alot of money to throw at your car like that, so im assuming you didnt even check the relay; Take a 10ga wire, attaching it to the + side of the batt, and the other side to the 12v side of the fuel pump harness, no prime, fuel pump or solders in the fuel pump retaining housing. Primes, your relay is bad or your harness. Simple as that, ECU is fine Check the FSM, it will walk you through how to trace where the break is, there is a connector on the alternator, and also a 12v ring connection that you can have go directly to your battery (fused I hope) |

How about the alternator is dead?
What gauge wires you running for the relocation? 18 gauge? lol. Double ott 0/0 would suffice. Give the 12v straight to the pump and so you did, Check Ignition switch fuse/relay as well as fuel pump 15amp fuse. Pretty much check that fuses/relays in your engine bay. Since the fuel pump doesn't prime on ignition and does on straight 12v, you're looking at the circuit isn't continuous, IE, power, ground, signal, fuse, relays. Does the car crank over? |
