75A Fuse Help
Hey guys,
Sorry to open another thread about electrical problems. I hear that the 75A fuse is culprit behind nothing working cept the headlights. I checked my fuse box and noticed that my 75A fuse was burnt. I just recently replaced it, and no luck what so ever. Did I miss something? Was I suppose to disconnect the battery terminals? Am I suppose to let the car run for awhile to charge up? The fuse is still good. The car runs and drives fine, just no gauges, brake lights, turn signals etc. only head lights working. Any help? BTW- I'm located in Socal, if anyone would like to come down sometime and check it out, I'm more than willing to pay for gas and for the time for diagnosing the problem. |

check to make sure the fuse isn't burnt again - I had a similar problem - you don't need to take off the battery terminal or anything.
When the car starts, check to make sure you are getting 14v or around there as well.

Just a quick update, I made sure the two clips connecting to the positive terminal were in tight, they had this black gunk in there (don't know if that may be the problem).
But after the car is on for a few minutes, the red LED lights up for the battery indicator. I don't know if that is a factor? Any help, would be much of appreciated, DALAZ 68, I'll pm you on the info so we can meet up Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated. |

Ahhh, I have found out how to use. I will check if there are any ground issues and see if I'm getting passed 12V. Will do, I'll check the fuse again. |

Sounds like a dead alternator.

Okay, after much looking around. On the left side under the dash. I have found this fuse box, and this fuse box contains no fuses at all! Quite surprisingly, I think this may be my problem....
Thanks for the help. |

And there it is. The indicator signals low voltage, the squealing belt is symptom of the alternator slipping or seizing.
