There are plenty of ways you can ignore situations that are mostly dramatized today relative to history. And by privilege I mean, many American people walk around talking about how oppressed they are, but have never experienced what oppression actually is. That is distinctly an American privilege. All race or any other distinguishing characteristic aside. |

Actually I do. The "extreme" Global Poverty Line was increased in 2015 to $1.90 per day. Let that fucking sink in. 740 million people live in extreme poverty. There are 740 million people living off less then a $1.90 a day... and our "poverty stricken disadvantaged" people are crying they want $20 per hour. In one day, they'd have made more money then 740 million people make in 6 months. Our poor are Dan Bilzerians to the rest of the worlds poor. We have 47 million "poor", (15% of the population) These are people that make less then $24,000 a year. |

Oppression is a fucking joke in the states. There is literally no excuse in this country succeed if you're a citizen and you actually put in a bit of effort and think a bit. This is coming from an immigrant from a country that is lead by a guy with a third grade education and a genocide going on. You guys have it made here, all you do is get a free education, go to community college, take a small loan and get your degree regardless of ethnicity, wealth income, and area. Then boom! You're all set. I wish I had the privilege most Americas have in this country. I should be the one screaming oppression and how "hard I have it" and "literally cant even".
People who complain about being oppressed have bum fuck all outside forces affecting there lives and have 0 accountability on themselves and others. There is nothing stopping you here from having a better life. |

The average american who works 9-5 and a good living has no time to be complaining or playing the oppression Olympics. Regardless of age, sex, gender, race, religion you have the freedom to do whatever you wish in life here, no one or system in place is stopping you. We all get paid the same wages, we all have the opportunity to study or learn a trade, move anywhere in a massive country, get a license and a loan. Everyone is discriminated here from female to male, black to white, christian to Muslim, rich to poor etc 99% of the people are all in the same boat. Only the very very wealthy I could say have the most "freedom" but that demographic covers many groups of people. You get horrible people from all shades and not one group is entirely victim or abuser. |

Donald Trump For President
Quote:
![]() Wow christian white males get treated differently? As in like unappreciated shit? People are born equal, but ambition decides mans place. If everyone else doesnt want to be treated differently ( if that theoretically is a thing, and its not) than they should defy the stereotype, and make the effort to be as productive for society as their counterparts. Only through mutual productiveness can people truly accept one another. For instance you will find very few people racist against asians, why? Because they"re assumed to be easy to deal with, they dont commit crimes, and they assimilate well. They are seen as hard working and ambitious . How did things go from " we hate chinamen, theyre taking are jobs blah blah blah" in like 1890 to people being fine with Asians today? Because they set a good example . For instance, a while back my father and i were in a certain part of my hometown that has a bunch of thai people, we were leaving his truck and i was like "hey shouldnt we lock the doors? And put the stuff from the bed in the cab?" And he was like " naw, we"re in the Asian part of town, no ones gonna steal shit". How does a group get that image? Certainly not by being 12% of the population and committing like 50% of the crime. Work together? No Work hard as yourself regardless of race ,and gain the respect of your peers thats how things change. There is no one else who can liberate man from stereotype but himself, and through the good deeds of one may others follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did I say the answer to being treated differently was to be a leach on society? What are you implying? Of course, being a productive part of society is ideal. DUH, obviously. "Asians are finally accepted today." More so than others? Yes, but you're making a generalization as an absolute fact, which it is not. FAR from it even. More of you making extreme comments. You can't agree that people get treated differently based on how they look, yet you post an example here. Even though that example is false. When I said working together, I didn't mean hold hands. Read between the lines. Or do I need to fill that in for you? "Work as yourself regardless of race...." Whether you like Obama's politically or not, he's a classy guy, yet he gets shitted on because of his race. I've read soo much Nwords this, go back to you know where etc... Some people will never progress from their hateful self because they grew up that way. Learned. While I agree that you should be a productive part of society no matter who or what you are, you still deny that people are treated differently based on who or what they are. Like with that other member above, if you don't see, or refuse to admit that people get treated differently based on who or what they are, then I guess we're done. I mean, I like dialogue because we can progress, but to deny something soo apparent? There's no point in continuing. |

I distinctly remember sitting in high school when Obama was elected for his first term, people in class (even whites) saying how great it was that we had a black individual running for office and that we (America) had the chance to make history by electing him into office. ABC, NBC, CNN, MTV, ESPN, shit every news outlet telling us that as Americans we owed it to ourselves to take this step forward in equality and elect our first black president if we wanted to continue to be proud of our country in this oversensitive, politically correct and newly globalized world. RUSSEL FUCKING BRAND, the guy who, two years later, sang a song called Little African Child in Get Him to the Greek made a speech at the MTV music awards advocating for this guy to get into office.
The pressure to elect Obama didn't just come from within our country it came from most of Europe (because we should totally care what they think of us, right?). Next thing you know you're a racist if you're not voting for Obama. He managed to construct his entire political platform based on equality and race, with very little emphasis on actual policy and plans. Next thing you know we have our first black president; and people are calling Trump a racist? After Obama used the racial division in this country to get himself elected not once, but twice? Conservatives were sick of being bullied by liberals, politicians and the rest of the world, Trump was someone they could rally behind. Hillary thought that she could use her position as a woman to rack up votes, just like Obama used being black, but she was wrong. People were and are sick of it, being labeled as a sexist or a racist because of who they vote for, and having to change their vote accordingly. Our president's should have in the past, and should always in the future be elected based on the policy they plan to implement and their love of the country; not their race or gender. "First black president" or "First woman president" should never have even been mentioned. I could care less if my president was black, white, gay, straight, man, woman, something inbetween, I don't care. If you're more fit for the job than the person standing next to you, you'll have my vote. That's why I voted for Trump and it's why I voted against Obama the one time I had my chance.

If by fit you mean qualified, that is definitely Clinton. You can hate her for whatever reason and I'd agree with you, but don't tell us he is more fit. He's just the face of the operation. He himself admitted during one of the debates, I think it was the first one, that he's basically winging it and going to hire "the best people." If you look into the ones he's got thus far, smh. But like I said before, I hope he's a successful president.

And why would Clinton be more fit? Because she's been part of the political elite for decades? I'm old enough to remember when her ass was in the white house the first time, high school in fact. Couldn't stand her then, can't stand her now.

I never said I liked her. But based on what she's done in her past. Years in US senate, served on other committees on health, budget, etc... you know, actually doing something for the people. Qaulifications.

She rode Bill's coat tails all the way to the Senate, and was elected because of her last name.
Besides, the only qualifications you need to be president is be 35, a citizen, and in country for 14 years. I'm qualified. Everything else is resume fluff. |
