Weird readings from Stock Temp Guage

My water pump just started leaking from the bottom pinhole. I understand the waterpump must be replaced. Its not a big leak, but it is leaking slowly. Will this cause my stock temp guage to be reading really high??? Could it be my thermostat?

When your car is leaking coolant, the area that was once filled with coolant is being replaced by air.

That air will not cool down your motor and it is forming little air pockets across your whole coolant system.

That's the reason your are getting hotter than normal readings.

Replace your water pump and thermostat then bleed your whole coolant system.

Ok thanks Zar. I Just received my new water pump so that will be instaleld along a nismo thermostat and new rad cap.
