Agency Power SS clutch line review
So I got the AP clutch line and have been waiting to install it since xmas, so i finally did this last week end. il post some pics up tomorrow.
At first i thought it was just supposed to go from the hard line to the rubber hose, but after researching, i found out it actually replaces the rubber hose. Because of this, you have to bend the hard line regardless to get it to feed into the SS line. SO my overall recommendation would be, if you don't wana spend $40 on a clutch line, simply toss out that pos clutch dampener, and CAREFULLY bend the hard line until you can get it to feed into the rubber hose. you're also going to need a bottle of brake/clutch fluid in order to do this as you need to bleed the clutch after it is installed. i personally used dot 3/4 valvoline synthetic brake fluid. from what ive read from everyone else who has done this dampener removal, its supposed to make your clutch pedal feel stiffer and give you more clutch feel. however, with my line, my clutch pedal is actually softer, but it has a much smoother feel to it now, and feels like it engages the clutch smoother. i don't know how it would have felt if i just used the rubber hose, so i cant comment on that. my overall impression of the product thus far is, it is mainly for aesthetic reasons and MAYBE for more durability compared to the rubber line, but its not worth the money just for those reasons alone. i hope this review helps someone, and i apologize if my paragraphs have bad transitions, im just typing as i think things in my head. this was my first review so i hope its not too bad and helps ppl out xD |

uuuuuuuh what? The line is supposed to replace everything.
When you remove the damper, remove the rubber line into the slave cylinder as well. Make sure the 90* bend is at the reservoir. Some company a while ago made one that was perfect, it had both sides with a 90* bend which saves a lot of worries when dirt dropping or driving low. As the straight side can break off and your fucked. When you remove the damper as well, make sure you adjust your clutch so it comes out further. The point is to have the engagement point sooner so it can force more fluid and provide a better force, that's probably why it feels soggy for you, since it's not pushing as much fluid as it should. You shouldn't bend any hardlines, when i did mine i took everything out and bending a hardline by hand is a great way to kink it, get a pipe and slowly heat up the hardline and SLOWLY wrap it around the pipe to the desired angle, if you don't have the proper tools. Agency power is nice, cheap and effective, but THMotorsports has someone who makes custom lines for them, cheap as shit too, i was quoted like 50$ for my line?, and it can be the length i want it and have both 90* bends. I just hate how the agency power line is like 1 foot longer than it needs to be, it hangs all over the place. Edit: nevermind, it seems like you bought the small line. Should have bought the Auto-to-manual line as it replaces everything from the master to the slave.

thanks for the input, but i think i have you confused with which line i have...lol
the line i have is just to replace the rubber hose and is about 9 inches long i would guestimate. the line you're thinking of is the entire clutch line for the auto to manual conversion. my car is an all natural 5 speed what u think i am talking about: Agency Power Auto to Manual Conversion Clutch Line Nissan 240sx [ AP-240-411 ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication what i have: Agency Power Stainless Clutch Line - Nissan 240sx [ AP-S13-400 ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication as im typing this, it seems like uve edited ur post and now have realized this... so il just post this anyways to clear anyone elses confusion if it so happens edit: and as for kinking the hardline, you dont need to really bend it all that much angle wise. just bend the line so it turns around to face the short line. the pics i post tomorrow will explain this better than i have. as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words (or somethin like that...lolz) |

when i took off the uselles dampener box i just bent the hard line a bit everything and came out good...well
there is actually a bit of lag on the pedal that's why i ordered the circuit sports auto to manual clutch line off frsport (theyre awesome!) i should get it this Friday...i hope the lag goes away...my engagement is horrible (all the way on the top) but its the only way the pedal comes up all the way. ill post some pics as well im sure many ppl (including me) wonder the quality of these products ill get back to this on Friday. |

Thanks for the input! So I'm guessing u just kept the rubber hose when u did that. Did u put any kinks in the hardline at all? If not then I guess we know what happens when u keep the rubber hose!

yeah i edited my post specifying i was confused.
Agency power makes decent lines, but i would honestly rather have something more beefier. The line is thin as shit for teflon/stainless steel. Slow40sx same, i got the auto-to-manual for a non-converted car. Shit fits a little too long but does the job The red is kinda lame though lol, black or silver preferred
