One of the very few Plasticoated cars done right. Work done by Raail, went with flat white. Me at Summit Point for 100DOD, photo by Mayday Garage.

PEDO I am kind of diggin the PlastiDip idea because of price and ease of application. What do you think of the product so far? The only thing that I worry about is longevity of the product as I have read that the PlastiDip is usually only good for about 3-6 months then has to be removed and reapplied. For some reason I was really diggin the Matte Red Supra that I saw on SF.

Dont do it not worth it honestly waste of time and money. I did it to a buddies car in white non the less shit needed a ton of coats and his car was originally white and it peeled off in certain places quickly. Its for sure a 10 foot car, in pics it looks nice but when you look close it looks like shit. Im anal when it comes to stuff like that.

I rather invest in a gun and paint it for real even with a shitty job it looks better then plasti-dipping and it will last you a lot longer.

This is not the Dipyourcar.com kit. Their kit has no UV protection and has to reapplied as often as you mentioned because of the fading. This is a specific formula that the shop that did my car developed after using gallons upon gallons of testing. It is very convenient because you don't need a chemicals permit like for a paint booth. Although using one helps a lot. If you have more specific questions about it you can shoot him a email [email protected]

Mine was sprayed with a professional gun, again not the Dipyourcar.com kit. They use a cheap Wagner gun. A different product was used on my car. It is smooth to the touch and up close looks just as good up close then 10 feet away. Here is an pic up close.

Just get the clear covers, they are like $150 and make the car not look like a camry. For 60k that thing better have a stroker big single 2j and a stand alone!

I'm going to be spraying a buddy's s14 kouki in deep impact blue metallic in a couple weeks. really excited about it.

yeah that's pretty much all the turtle wax kit is, i dont mind doing it often - the turtle one was recommended by a supra guy with the mk3 said it held up nicely.

Lavender Frost Metallic (lg1). putting aero on it soon and getting it repsprayed two tone with LG1 (lavender frost metallic) on top and regular two tone metallic on bottom. I really wanted an original two tone but i fell in love with this color so im combining them hahaha.

Awesome. That's exactly what I would do if I had a Lavender Frost coupe. If you do it properly it will look very good. 463 is the paint code for the dark grey metallic two-tone bottom half.

Good luck!
