Dont do it not worth it honestly waste of time and money. I did it to a buddies car in white non the less shit needed a ton of coats and his car was originally white and it peeled off in certain places quickly. Its for sure a 10 foot car, in pics it looks nice but when you look close it looks like shit. Im anal when it comes to stuff like that.

I rather invest in a gun and paint it for real even with a shitty job it looks better then plasti-dipping and it will last you a lot longer.

This is not the Dipyourcar.com kit. Their kit has no UV protection and has to reapplied as often as you mentioned because of the fading. This is a specific formula that the shop that did my car developed after using gallons upon gallons of testing. It is very convenient because you don't need a chemicals permit like for a paint booth. Although using one helps a lot. If you have more specific questions about it you can shoot him a email [email protected]

Mine was sprayed with a professional gun, again not the Dipyourcar.com kit. They use a cheap Wagner gun. A different product was used on my car. It is smooth to the touch and up close looks just as good up close then 10 feet away. Here is an pic up close.
