Exactly.
Lock tabs, safety wire, even regular lock nuts all require the manifold to be removed in order to remove the turbo. I tried all sorts of bullshit, and in the end the stainless steel gasket and tack welding it has left me trouble freeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
