there is a noise coming from my transmission. it sounds like a rattling/grinding/whirring noise.

most of the time i cant hear it at all. when i press my clutch in it makes no sound, but as soon as i start putting it into gear the sound starts and continues until i release the clutch.

when i first start the car in the morning, it doesnt do it every time i put it in gear, but if i drive it for a long time, it starts doing it every time i press my clutch in for more than a few seconds...

anyone have any idea what this could be?
