Most people I see are financing expensive cars (and then modding cars they don't own outright), and I'm still content with sinking money into a $3k 240 and owning it, and it not really depreciating any more. I try to subsidize my car building by selling cars and parts on the side so I'm not out of pocket near as much as I used to be. And mortgage and life expenses exist now, which means a 240 is still budget friendly to play with.

Plus, it's fun. And pretty much everything on a 240 is liquid if I needed to cash out.

Cars aren't any sort of good investment at this level, and the friends I've made over the last 10 years make it worth it to me.

financing cars is a smarter decision, for some people. the most successful friends have i have hold maybe 500k credit lines with amex. their cars are bought with credit. Lol
i should probably add that they are business owners
