I have 9's up front with a +23 offset. However, my KW's have slotted upper knuckle holes, so I can get more clearance.

Okay thanks for the info! I guess I'll just have to do it and find out. Worst case scenario I'll have to get a small spacer up front but that's not a big deal. Although I would like for them to just fit with no spacer.

anyone have any experience with RE050A's?
I let my friend barrow my rear wheels/tires for Mazfest this last weekend, he said it started to get slippery on him.(18x10+38 275/35/18) when it got too hot, the tire mfg. date is 4511[still good tires] and wondering if that's just normal RE050A thing or not. Thanks.

IMHO I hate anything that comes from Bridgestone, especially the RE050A Potenzas. Sure, the rubber may last a few years and may be drivable all season, but for high speed grip, or grip in general, this tire is complete shit. The feel of the tire is also shit when comparing to other competing brands (Continental, Michelin, Nitto) with a heavier price tag. The tires are noisy. Way too noisy after 15K miles, at least they were for me. I'm assuming you have the run flats, which I previously had on my S13 coupe. Hated them. With a passion. So badly. Michelin Pilot Spot 2 or 3 are pretty damn good, which I approve over almost anything besides Nitto. |

Anybody finding wiiide tire deals lately?
I'm looking for 295's or wider. I'll even take 335's.

I have a 265/35 on an 18x10 +18 with a 30mm overfender, and about -2.5 of camber is the least I could do, without having the tire right up against the overfender. (wanted -1.5)
Just add the 20mm difference in our overfenders sizes, and that should help you out. ![]() |

Here's my Z!
Sitting on lowering springs for now, BC coils should be ordered soon ![]() Setup out back is 18x10+15 BSA 215s with Goodyear 275/45s on slight rolled fenders. Fitment looks pretty good for stock body IMO ![]() ![]() ![]() |

s14.
Can I fit 18x10.5 +22 with 285/35 in rear and 18x9.5 +20 with 255/40 in front? Got BC coils and 35mm overfenders all around. If I can't can you please tell me offsets to fit? Ty ![]() |

well, plug these numbers into offset calculator.
my rear wheels are 18x10+38 with 275/35/18, tucking about 3/8th of tire, fender is pulled 3/4th inch, 0 camber. Just off my head, you shouldn't have any problem fitting that with 35mm over fenders. Front's you'll need about 5mm spacer to clear the coilovers, because my 9.5+15's are about as dangerous as it gets. LOL and step down on the side wall there, because the 255/40's are going to be super tall.

quick question
17x9 +25 offset will a 245/40 or 45 tire fit up front? and that's the car being as stanced as possible. i had a 17x9.75 +25 with a 245/40 tire, and i couldn't get it to fit. even with a 10mm spacer, it hit the coils. |

it seems somewhat difficult to run a 255/35 on a low offset 18x9.5 in the front of a s14, but I see many people run 17x10's and 17x9.5 with 255/40's in the front without an issue.
According to this calculator a 255/40r17 has the same width and overall height as a 255/35r18. Tire Dimensions Made Simple - Discount Tire I'm going to run a 18x9.5 +15 up front and a 18x9.5 +22 in the rear with 255/35r18 all around but I think I may have to use a 235/40 in the front for fender clearance.. |

Hmm.. so what about 18x9.5+12 up front (255/35) and 18x9.5 +30 (can be +20 too if +30 dont fit) on rear (255/35)? just 25mm overfenders on front.. Please guys I need something sure that fits :/
if that helps, coils are BC racing ER type and it's an S14.. ty |

With that said, you should have plenty of room with overs.

Sup guys? I've been looking all over the place, but since everyone stretches tires, and goes for all the stances these days, I've got some questions.
I've recently aquired some Cosmis wheels, 18x10 +20 in the rear, and have a line on some free Nitto NT05's that are 275/35/18's (like, 8 for free!!). Of note, the 275s run an actual 266 as per FD measuring, so they're kinda like a wide 265/35. Question is, will those tires fit on the x10 +20's without stupid camber? I'm really not wanting to go past -1.5, and would like to stay as close to zero as possible. Pic for reference. mexipoke due to 25mm H&R spacers to my my G35's sit all fancy like, but maybe you can get the picture. Wheels are the x10 +20's, with a 235/40 mounted. With somewhere around 0.0 to -0.5 or -1.0 camber. ![]() I'll see if I can find a better shot of the rears, test fit only lasted about 10 minutes. Honestly, I prob need to just mount one up, pull the spacer, and test fit, but I'm just here to see what you guys know before I waste my time runnin' round like that.

how much camber are you running? Camber does help, but at a certain point doesn't it seem senseless to run a 255 tire up front at -5* than say a 235 at -2.5*?
this is on stock metal fenders with just a roll btw |

IDK i think most serious racers (time attack, etc.) use around 4 degrees in the front and 1 or 2 degrees in the rear from what I've seen, but they're on DOT slicks like Advan A048s I think. Since you're on street tires, I'd go with 3 degrees in the front, and 1 or 2 in the rear, but that's just me. You may want less, but if you're going to be tracking a lot, go with -3 or -4.

what PSi do you guys run on streched tires? do you guys go with what side wall recommends or...? I ask cause I was running a 285/30/18 on a 18x12.5(-6) and noticed i was at 20 psi so I went with what tire recommended(50) and now my tire ripped from the inside( I just had an alignment 2 weeks ago) did I fuck up or...?

I run 36psi F/R on my car. That's just what I'm used to so that's what I got on all my cars. when you got an alignment, they should have checked your tire pressure for sure. and it could have been anything that made the tire rip on the inside sidewall. talk to who ever you bought your tire from.

anyway, can you check the manufacture date code on it? it should be 4 digits of numbers. first two state the week of the year, and second two are the last two digits of the year. so for example (2812) would indicate that it's made on the 28th week of 2012. I'm just wondering why the tire has cracked, might be because it's old.

nice rubber, but let's see them on the car? lol
Quote:
oh and i've always had max psi in stretched tires. The rating on the sidewall is cold psi, so don't put max air pressure after you drive it because the tire heats up and the air inside of it expands. |
