Kit copy and real whats the difference?

Getting Uras for my hatch.. friend of mine owner a part shop and gave me both price on the Uras.

680 for Real Uras Type 4

350 for Copy Uras Type 4

both are made of fiberglass

If you had copy on your 240sx let me know your opinions

Spend the extra $$ and go with the real deal! You will wind up spending more money on paint and installation with the copy and the fit wont be as clean IMO.

the real kit is always better.

hands down but some"replica kits" do fit well, most need alot of work though

this has been covered alot so typing body kits or aero in the search bar should yield answers.

Def Fitments! i bought an imitation Vertex for my hatch about a year ago and though it popped on it dint line up. my bro did the same for this car and it dint line up (he owns a kouki) in the end he bought the real deal and paid the extra bills but his car looked super clean.

Fitment is better. I heard uras fitment is sex.

Frp is better and thicker.

Plus at that price its a really great deal.

If you can afford it, go with the real deal. If you cant don't go cheap and get a replica. It will cost you just as much as a real one would have in the first place. Every body shop is going to do a little work on the bumpers and side skirts but why get replica's and have them bondo the Sh*t out of them and do twice the amount of work needed?

Real deal kit will also be a good quality fitments and possible JADE fiberglass, (cwest and Bomex along with a few other companies use ths fiberglass) compared to these MATT finished replica ones.

Real Stuff = Fits better, overall better quality, and you're supporting a company that DESIGNED it.

Fake Stuff = Fits like shit, quality is shit, and you're supporting Chinese thieves, the same ones who are also taking away American jobs, and putting lead paint in kids toys.

i cant tell you how many body shop owners call me because they bought a fake kit for their customer.... then realize what a shitty decision that was and then end up ordering the real thing from me, which they admit over and over they should have done the first time.

Most of them don't fit. Depending on the bodyshop, you'll end up paying more than you would to get them to fit than you would just buying the real thing and have it installed.

I would recommend ORIGIN and version select kits because with the two kits I have owned I have had excellent fitment (except one sideskirt) and the kits are inexpensive. As far as your URAS option goes... I would go with the real thing.

I only buy knockoffs now. I used to have have real Version Select everything but it got WAY too expensive after the second kit.

Fiberglass work is extremely easy to do yourself if you look into it. Hell, my cheap BN knockoffs used to fit before I ripped them off and "fixed" them a few times.

That's a bomb deal on real URAS stuff - a little too good for me to believe. I got quoted prices picked up at their warehouse and they woulda been about double that for a full kit, but as long as it says URAS Monkey Magic on the inside, I guess it's real...

But 350$ for replica and 680$ for real thing is crazy cheap, many knockoffs cost more than 680$. Could your friend get me the replica skirts and rear bumper?
