Had an Arcadia London Porter tonight (two of them). Love it! Nice and sweet malty backbone...good stuff!

here in miami,fl i just found 3 places selling delirium and duvel.. i did try the nocturnum.. but i like tremes better.

i finally had a nocturnum last week but i think it had some heat damage. It had a rather obscure aftertaste. Something wasnt quite right with it. I will surely try another one though. Another good belguim is Piraat. I am really into belgiums right now. A favorite of mine is the three philosophers by ommegang. And for the poster with the espresso yeti, I have a February of 2k5 bottle that i'll get around to one day. I like all of the yeti beers.

The Yeti espresso oak aged is very nice. I wish my beer collection was as good as my wine collection. Here is few of the ones I have.

Oak aged Arrogant Bastard, Lagunitas Brown Sugar aged for 4 years (my very good friend uncle's brewery),Lagunitas Gnarly wine),Stone Old Guardian Barley wine,Goose Island Night Stalker 2011,Green flash grand cru, and my favorite sour beer Cantillon Gueze

I dont agree one bit with beer advocate. I met someone that laid it all out for me, sorta burst my bubble about their whole scene. i was sad at first but now i understand. $$

Im a huge beer fan! I live within walking distance of at least three different breweries (Rogue's Eugene City Brewery, Ninkasi, and Steelhead), and 5 minute driving distance of at least 2 others (Hop Valley, Oakshire). My personal favorite is Rogue. I have a Rogue bottle collection thats up to about 50 different beers now. Ill have to take a picture sometime to share.

Who here brews their own beer?? My buddy (CalPolyKing) and I are taking the beer and culture class at Cal Poly this quarter. Get to taste 5-8 beers a day!

Anyways, as one of our projects, we brewed our own beer. It's an American style Ale with apricot and orange citrus flavor. It's in the last stage of fermentation in the bottle should be done it about a week. Can't wait!

Here are a few pictures from our process. This was our first time brewing, but will definitely be doing it more often now that we've invested in equipment.

A week after our first stage of fermentation.

Now bottle, should be ready in 1-2 weeks.

Mmmm :-)...

Oh and the chairman of Miller Coors, Mr. Pete Coors, came to visit our class and gave us a lecture about the history, the merger of Miller Coors. Very knowledgable man. Here's a picture of him and I.
