It would be neat to run turbo piping through the stock KA intake and hide the SMIC in/under the airbox. A blow-through MAF setup would make it easier, since there would only need to be one pipe going from under the stock manifold shield to the SMIC/airbox area, and it could probably be hidden well enough among the power-steering equipment.

Keyword in doing a sleeper setup is simple. It's not about you making things like pipings and others disappear by routing them any other way. The idea would be to make them look as if it belongs there and should be there like OE. |

How does the TB coupler fit? I was concerned about that part mostly because the S14 TB/Intake Manifold placement puts it in a place similar to a SOHC KA.

Is this a jdm sr air box or the stock KA? same question for the intake pipe. Need to know so I can make a WTB. I plan on using a godspeed 18g and 550's with a same side in/out IC core too try and get past 300 whp.

You will need the JDM one.. MAF orientation is different.

I could put a sr20 in my car and it would look sleeper if I used all the OEM equipment.

IMHO and I have done this probably more than most here in Zilvia. Trying to make something look like what isn't to be just makes it more pop out and someways give it away. Plenty of little details that gives it away for me. Making it look as if its suppose to be there personally is the sleeper. But thats just me so were all entitled of our own views.

Some really good clean looking KA-Ts out there!
I tried to keep mine as low profile by painting everything flat black..clamps..pipes..and so on. From the front you can't see that I have an intercooler as I kept the stock zenki bumper. But it's kinda hard when you have a top mount manifold and a polished turbo housing. Anyways, I have a 3 inch catalytic and an RS*R EX Mag with an added resonator and it's whisper quiet!! I've had cops behind me and next to me..and they never have once even bother looking my way because it's so quiet...plus I drive like i am aware that other people share the road too! lol I need an engine wash and some wire management..I know....I know. ![]() |

So I have a question for you ka-t guys running t25/28 set-ups,
I'm at about 147k miles on my stock kade and about to get a top end rebuild (all parts replaced with oem besides the cometic head gasket, hot tanked, etc.) and was wondering if it's sufficient enough to run a t25/28 set-up without rebuilding/worrying about the bottom end being straight from the factory with 147k on it? It's my DD at the moment, so it's not driven too hard. Well, not too often lol Thanks in advance

Cool, thanks for the replies.
To sytfu_S14, I probably wont be looking to buy the rest of the parts I need any time soon, but I'll shoot you a PM if extra funds miraculously come my way hah
