Do you want to slam the car to the pavement? What kind of arms do you have on the car? Are the coilovers independently hieght adjustable. I swear, one of the first things that should be posted here is what suspension parts are on the car & what kind of fitment you want. Throwing out wheel/tire specs is so broad, it can happen plenty of ways. And to answer your question, it's do-able. Whether the tires sit flush with the fenders or not. Roll/pull is determined by alignment specs. 45 series is too tall of a tire & 225 is a little more meaty than what a 215 does for a 9". 215/40 would fit perfectly. |

The coils are tein he's and are height adjustable but don't go that low. Isis rucas, Traction, tension and toe arms. I'm probably going to have to roll all around. Just want it to look nice with some stretch.

Here's 215/45 with a decent amount of rear camber: http://rimtuck.com/photos/1251/1288305439.jpg Now, imagine a 225/45. You will need more than a pull unless you want to run an unnecessary amount of camber. 225/45 up front, you ask? http://rimtuck.com/photos/1/1247935005.jpg If semi-balloon fitment is what you're looking for, look no further. IMO, the best way to do 9" +12's is 225/40 or 215/40 if you're in a mild stretch mood. Example being 225/40 for the rear (18's"): http://rimtuck.com/photos/701/1250669060.jpg 215/40 up front, these are +15 but I'm sure you can visualize +12: http://rimtuck.com/photos/301/1229411345.jpg |

S14
PBM Pro Comp Coils, FLCA+TENROD combo, RUCA, Toe, Traction Rod Currently fenders are rolled. Rims are 18x10.5 +15 rears running 245/40/18. I am not sure how much camber i need to run to make it driveable. Right now, camber is @ -1.2. If what I read above was true, adding almost 2 degrees would give me about 1/2 inch of more clearance. Would increasing to -3 camber + getting a SLIGHT pull on my fender be enough? My fronts seem to be okay 18.9.5 +12 @ 225/40/18 with -1 camber. Included my alignment report from last time, before I put on my new rims. I am heading back to the alignment shop tomorrow and any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Personally, looking at it, I'd just pull it out some more since I prefer to keep my camber as close to 0 as possible. Lip is still flat so all you have to do is to get it bowing out a bit and you should be good to go. Get a torch and warm up the fender from behind, hammer it slowly from the inside while pressing a rubber mallet on the outside, then use your hand to feel the fender and try to keep it smooth every time you hit it with the hammer from the inside. Check the clearance ever so often by mounting the wheels back on to see.

ok so I've been looking around but cant seem to get anywhere, so here it goes.... will 18x10.5 +12 ALL AROUND fit on an s14 with stock metal panels? if so, please post tire specs, camber needed, and the needed roll and pull... pics are a huge plus.

Look at my post above. Stock metal, S14 w/ 18x10.5 +15. Going to need fender roll + pull and some negative camber.

I'm in the same position as both of you guy, im still trying to figure out what tire to use i was thinking about 215/35/18 for 18x9.5+12 up front and 235/35/18 for 18x10.5 +15 in the rear on stock metal just roll fenders would it work? Same suspension as silvia240, can you post pic of your car silvia240? Thanks in advance

s14silvia10- you dont need to run a 35 series tire, you would be safe in running a 215/40 (F), and a 225/40 (R) with your set up... thats what I've been seeing lately.... as for me, i know i can runthe rears no problem, It's the front that concerns me, i need to know if I would have to pull like crazy or even flare it out.

Thanks flipray for the advice. I am going to get my fenders pulled first and go from there. I am with you, I would like to keep most of my tires on the asphalt.

Fronts I am running 225/40/18 on a 18x9.5 +12 wheel. That fits no problem. I an just going to roll the front fenders and I think I will be able to go pretty low. Its just the rears that will need massaging (roll + pull) to make it fit. *pictures not the best angles, especially none from the front, but you can see there is plenty of space left. As for hrdprkin180, from what i have read (i am probably wrong) you need a lot of work to run 18x10.5's up front. Most of the guys I have seen running wider on the front have new wider fenders. Good luck with those and post some pics when you squeeze those up there. |

Fliprayzin240sx, ok thanks, i knew i had to pull the fronts i just didnt know how much i would have needed... i havent actually bought the wheels, but after looking around some more i think im just going to have to stick with a 18x9.5 -ish wheel for the front... silvia240, i would like to see a good side shot of your car once you dial your camber, toe, and coils in, looking good so far

^The thing is that pretty much any wheel will fit on any car. what you will have to figure out is what combination tire width and profile for the size wheel you have, fender modifications and alignment specifications for that particular set up.

Rear would be perfect on stock fenders with just a roll and some pull. Fronts, you'd need some spacers to clear whatever suspension you have. You'd probably need to get that down to +18 or so just to be on the safe side.
This is 18x10+18 225/40 and 18x11 +28 265/35 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Questions for a S14:
1. Can I run 245 40s on 18x9.5 +12 rim all around with just rolls and mild rear pull? 2. Will 18x9.5 +12 hit the coils up front or will I have to run a spacer. I want to try running max neg camber up front for autoX balance. Would really like -2 with no more than that out back. |

![]() ![]() ![]() You should be able to clear anything and everything (suspension wise) up front with this sizing. |
