Sadly, I think a lot of people are going to vote simply based on stupid internet pictures and gifs and t-shirt/sticker campaigns like that.

remember that huge sales tactic with those "hope" and "change" shirts and stickers and whatnot? So many people fell for it. lol

Ryan lied about a lot of things, foreign policy was but one of them.

A select few:

1 – “it took the president two weeks to acknowledge Libya as a terrorist attack”
truth – it was acknowledged as such the very next day

6 – “the 5 billion dollar plan has been discredited”
truth – the studies he cites actually PROVE, not discredit the claim

A lot of these are the same old shit, though... If you repeat a lie enough, eventually it will grow legs and SOMEONE will accept it as the truth.

He also made the Iranian nuclear program seem much further along than it really is. Even is Iran has the ability to enrich plutonium/uranium/whatever right now, look at how long it has taken North Korea to build a missile that wouldn't go into the sea less than 100 miles off the coast.

With the sanctions and support of most of the globe against the Iranian regime, it'll be a LONNNGGGG time.

And lets not forget that where the Obama admin. has taken steps to work with the Russians, Mitt has said that he considered Russia our number one foe.

Am I the only person who finds it difficult to accept the political opinion of someone who can't comprehend there/their/they're?

They're all seeking something, to say they're greedy is silly. Some simply want power, some want approval, some may be in it for $$$ reasons (although getting into politics for the money is a bit silly), etc. Most successful politicians were faced with some sort of difficulty early in life that shaped them forever.

A pension more handsome than any of us will earn and sometimes a lifetime salary as well is worth telling/supporting a couple hundred lies.
Self-preservation is among the first human instincts, and setting up your own future for beyond what is foreseeable is more than adequate for that description.
All of this goes not to mention the EXTRA cash one stands to make on appearance fees and book deals.

To say that's the only reason is silly though. The likelihood of becoming a successful politician is extremely unlikely, so to make money being a politician, you do have to be quite good.

Anyone who actually listens to anything they are told during the election period is an idiot. The parties are willing to say anything to pander to voters, to the point of it being totally obvious and cheesy, and I do not understand how some people can take it seriously.
I cannot listen to either candidate or the people backing them, because I feel they are insulting my intelligence, and when I think how much money is being spent on the campaigning, it just saddens me.
