registering it in a different area may be your best bet. if you dont wanna do all the smog stuff.

here in my area of IL is 95 and older are smog exempt. and just a county away they dont do smog at all ever. so if you can find a place and set up a po box.

Registering out of state is illegal. If you're a California resident you HAVE to have your vehicles registered in California. You'll probably get away with it for a while, but once that dickhead cop sees that your liscence is a CA liscence and your plates aren't you might just have yourself some trouble.

It's saddening how proud you are about finding a loophole in the law for you to do illegal shit with your car. Your evo can be built fast as fuck and still at least pass the sniffer test. In the end you're still driving your sister's car, I drive my own car...
