^^^I know the ignition key can be remade if you know the code#.

What code do you speak of? do you mean the vin?

Yeah I think this may be my next step, I am lazy and was hoping to buy another key at the dealer... but Looks like I will actually have to spend some time and get the key out.

I just got mine out with a pair of tweezers, if your locks are as wallered out as mine were it shouldn't be an issue.

Oe keys are cut per VIN, and are issused a code. Mine split down the middle, and was my only key which worked for both ignition and doors. Lock smith was able to make the ign key via the code, but the door locks weren't the same, so that had to be be cusomized off the broken original. The key was so worn, it was able to operate both.. well... not with ease... guess that's why it broke.[emoji848]

Does your key have a 4 digit # engraved?
