Reports to Cal Trans are quickly responded to for pot holes, but two weeks later and the pot holes are back. Free healthcare to illegal immigrants. They may be testing a pilot program, pay-per-mileage, in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. If successful, the state legislature will be pushing to put this on a statewide ballot eventually. I have a feeling it will pass because the people in SD, LA, and SF combine makes up for majority of the population of the state. So Californians will be paying the highest gas taxes in the nation, high vehicle registration, and may eventually be also paying 'per mile' driven in CA. Democrats are trying to peel small parts of Prop 13 away in the last election, I don't doubt they'll keep trying until they've completely gotten rid of Prop 13. A few months ago, I got one of those political surveys from a PAC for the DNC that asked about Prop 13 so I know that's going to be an ongoing issue. So decades of DNC rule in this state has pushed me to the right.
His pushing of Congress to do something about illegal immigration is fantastic. I'm a first generation American here with refugee immigrant parents. If my family had and can wait in line and come into the country properly due to genocide, everyone else can also.
Trade war with China, Trump may have his own hidden agenda. But I look at it as weakening China's globalization of loaning money to poor countries to take control of their resources, military expansion, and IP theft. And no, I try not to buy "Made in China" whenever I can and I've been doing so for the last decade. Not "everything" is made in China like a lot of people are still led to believe.
NAFTA 2.0 haven't been passed yet in Congress so no opinion here. But Trump's insistence of Mexico to curb illegal immigration or "else" seems to be working.
Trumps twitter tirades...he can definitely work on his social networking skills and his personality. He sounds like an idiot and an embarrassment to the USA when dealing in international relations. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt that that's just the way he is and besides, it's great to have a bit of change of pace in international relations and domestic issues. Is it good or bad? Who knows...only time will tell.
