Judging from the pics they obviously know what they're doing as functionality goes so them using a 240 chassis makes even less sense, unless they like had a shell laying around the shop or something.
They get -1 since this already been done before including a full vette drive train swap into a civic hatch so its not original.
Do you have any idea how much a f body weighs? Its like driving a brick on wheels and even with that big factory engine you still feel every pound its fat ass is carrying. So its makes sense why someone would pick a s14 to build a all out drag car, cheap cheap, rwd, simple platform, easy to find cheap.
Civics and 240s take the cake when it comes to finding one a dime a dozen. especially when compared to a domestic, but who would put a ls1 with a gt47 in a fwd civic?
Headlights are disgusting though.

I like the fabrication but I just don't get wasting that much money on a project like that.

yeah.. i thought everyone would misunderstand my negativity and talk shit, but im proud.. you guys actually understood my point.

i dont care for the car because its the wrong platform for a drag car.

but hey, who am i to say? the owner has the balls, money and choice to do whatever he wants (ide say she, but no woman fabricates like that... let alone fabricates).

to the owner, nice job on the actual fab work, because needless to say.. its fantastic looking, great attention to detail. personally, i just dont like drag cars.. hence the reason i cant even appreciate this.

i mean i *can* appreciate it, but i just wont.. because i dont care for many domestic cars, let alone a 240SX converted domestic car.

cheers

yeah, I remember when they were using that excuse to get rid of the Cobra's IRS. Rather than learn how to drive the car.

You can't dead hook a IRS you have to slingshot/preload it. A lot of people don't want to learn this skill so they make up excuses.

I'd rather go forward then go into a wheel stand.

It would be pretty cool to see a 240 out run a liter bike. Wonder how much power its going to put down.

i don't like 240's with V8 swaps, unless it's a nissan V8. but you have to respect the amount of work that went into this project.

I dont like 240sx;swit v8 swaps either.

but this car is better than a lot of fan boy fag drifting cars.

attention to detal and guts swapping will make a it a decnet platform for drag.

I mean jebeus christ there are Scions with ford 9 inch rear ends as front ends driving 30 inch slicks at all import events.

Imaginary fwd 7 second cars that are worthless for gauging anything for manuflacturers or other crap

so I say cheers, if not for anything other than having an excuse to spool a gt47 fast.

...but why the MT et streets????

You should be running slicks on this car all the time.

I love how people defending this as a JDM vs domestic BS.

The engine and the GT47 are nice and probably going to be a powerful setup. The problem lies with why he replaced the superior IRS system with a live axle setup.

lol @ people wondering why the IRS is gone.. ITs not a little freakin drift car. if you knew anything about drag racing you would know live axle > IRS.

this build is obviously not for the JDM mad tyte drifter enthusiast. its about speed. you have to learn to open up your 1 track minds to new things. boo hoo it has american drivetrain. everything they put in there is an unbelievable upgrade from stock. who cares who made it. its what WORKS

It's perfect for going straight, It's lighter than a domestic, It's rwd key word there and Then throw in what you know about going straight.. This is the outcome and there is no doubt this thing is going to be fast.. You guys should all know this already Light plus big power is winning... The biggest advantage Honda uses..
