ill also agree with what was said above. All of these companies are great. Choose what makes you feel fuzzy inside. Parts shop max is my choice though. you can do this.

take the bottom bracket of the coilover where the 2 bolts go through the knuckle and flip it upside down.

great idea.
i didn't think of that.
should I be adding any preload?
I hardly have any on it, but the spring doesn't jiggle or move.

I'm a little confused by the first post. I've never heard anything bad about PBM, actually I plan on going through them on everything because of their customer service even though they are on the other side of the country.

sorry pal but since the 80's all camaros have been built in Canada or Mexico, and you can thank the auto union for that.

I'm not sure about other cars but I'm pretty sure that a good 60% of all Domestic cars on the road today are built in canada or mexico.

I used to work at a shop...and i cant stand this sorta shit.

So you think you're entitled to a discount just because you spent some money? This kind of mentality is fucking annoying. Its one thing if a shop offers to hook you up, but you going in ASKING for it like they owe you something is fucking disrespectful and asinine. A shop is a business first and foremost. People seem to forget that...

Its not that PSM wasn't helpful, its that they wouldn't meet your cheap ass demands. There's a big difference.

Get serious.

the prices at Parts Shop MAX are already low as shit to begin with compared to other shops.

i'm glad you didn't do business with PBM considering how stupid that notion sounds. Your definition of "support" is completely different from the locals and other happy customers around the world.

WOW!!! Extreme DOUCHE!!

Seriously! PBMs pricing is already like $30-40 lower than most suspension Companies on an average. I dont own any of their products... yet but I will once I save for new coils, and just thinking about the fact that i will be purchasing makes me a satisfied customer.
GTFO!

quick question, when you guys refer to preload, is that with the weight of the car on the spring? or with the coil off the car, unladen with any weight? i can never get a straight answer from anyone, but im starting to think a laden coil with 0 preload while on the car may be the proper way... any feedback?

that being asked...

in a few weeks from now, my collection of the entire PSM s13 suspension lineup will be complete. no complaints. i have run the coils, rucas, tension rods, subframe collars for over a year. traction/toe/knuckles/lcas will be the finishing pieces for my car, arriving asap. shipping/dealing with the shop was always efficient, things arrived on time, and i was notified when new parts arrived that i was interested in. these guys arent playing the game, they are the game.

Unladen = PREload, i.e. Before the load(weight of the car) is applied.
