This thing will NEVER EVER see the light of day in any way shape or form. Especially since we now know Nissan didn't even approve the project and aren't happy that it happened.

Most that will come of this is a shitty dealer aero kit.
you can count me in on that one. though i dont like the ricer side skirts they put on this one.
imo this is sexy enough.

Yeah I agree, but I like the juke in this form. Looks so freaking cool and outta this world. Best of all my gf likes it and was thinking about buying it, but there aren't that many parts available for this car.... rawr....but man I would rock this thing.

The downside to the juke is that there isn't really any aftermarket support for it yet. So far the only way to lower it is to use versa parts that aren't designed for it. I think there are one or two coilover kits for it but they are $$$ and I don't even think you can get them outside of Japan yet. I bought one for my wife b/c she wanted a small suv and really the only other choices were the scion xb (new one is ugly), or the kia soul (pile of garbage). Compared to those the juke has a lot going for it, turbo and awd being the biggest advantages.

possibilities is that juke engine could be a guinea pig for the next s-chassis engine. who knows.

i would shave that 2 big lights on the bumper and convert the top ones to a projector one.

In response to that Autoblog article:

Quote:
Rumours are currently doing the internet rounds that the new Nissan Juke-R has been born without the approval of execs in Japan.

Which, given the massive marketing push behind the challenging-looking crossover with the innards of the mighty R35 GT-R, we found extremely odd. Cue a spot of interrogation of Nissan UK high-ups.

And it seems that there is a grain of truth (albeit a small one) in story progenitor Autoblog's original article.

"The Juke R is a Nissan Europe project that's been undertaken with the full backing of management in Japan," A senior Nissan source told us. Apparently there is one person who's not fully behind the project, however, and that's Kazutoshi Mizuno, the 'father of the GT-R'.

Then again, Mizuno-san is famously protective of his baby, and we're sure that to him turning the GT-R into the Juke-R is akin to someone painting a clown face on the Mona Lisa...

But there is one thing we want to take the fine folks at Autoblog to task on: calling the folks at Cranfield (who started the project) and RML (who have taken it on subsequently) 'a bunch of rag-tag engineers'. These are the people responsible for engineering the Qashqai and Juke and, in the case of RML, running successful WTCC, BTCC and Le Mans campaigns. The cheek of it...
PistonHeads Headlines - Did Nissan HQ not know about the Juke-R?

It seems Autoblog have edited their article since.

id rock that, i think if they made the 370r and priced it about 55k it would fly off the lots. twin turbo it but leave the manual trans in it and the good stock brakes. Maybe give it the drive computer to. As long as it had good power and handling but not quite as good as the gtr then i dont think it would hurt gtr sales but allow normal folk like me to get something close.
