Are they seriously going to mass produce and sell this thing? I don't understand it, from a marketing point on view... All the power and handling of the GTR but something like 800 lbs lighter and way cheaper than the flagship car?

I don't think this is going to be mass produced, but I think Nismo is going to have a hand in modifying Juke's in the near future. Probably like Nismo 370z....

The Juke-R is not built by Nismo, but by RML in the UK. They only built 2, one RHD and one LHD. It's not a production car by any means and it's not going to be sold at all. I think it's more of a project for Nissan.

Many Rouge, Murano, etc... but I get the point.. Juke would be most ideal AWD vehicle from Nissan for this project.

I think it looks frickin sweet and has a great power plant. Nissan just needs to make the trunk bigger and a 5 or 6 spd manual transmission awd.

Apparently, the higher ups in Japan weren't even aware of this project, and they don't like it at all... oops

It's a great engineering project!

I've been meaning to test drive a Juke. Next time I take my wife's SE-R to the dealer for an oil change, I'll make it happen.

If it's anywhere near the price of a GTR it will be a flop. I think they should only produce like a 100 or so.

In case there was any remaining ambiguity, they will definitely never sell this car and will almost certainly never produce any beyond the existing prototype.

Nissan execs are not happy about the project either, as it occurred and was unveiled almost entirely in secret.

I think it's great, but I'd like to see a 370Z-R or a Fuga-R or something like that.

It's a marketing exercise and engineering project, hence the Juke choice.

It's not a production vehicle, just a fun project. Who wouldn't want to cram a GTR drivetrain into a smaller package?

The Juke is wierd looking, but I appreciate it's quirky status. I just thank god that it isn't another beige econobox like the Corolla (which is almost as tall).

I think the worst was the video's and everything made it look like it was a Nissan backed project because you see Nissan posters, banners, shirts of the engineers. I think they were ticked off by that, because Nissan is trying to control their image.

This is what I was thinking. Make the car an awd rally machine. In a sense this is very reminiscent of the Pulsar GTiR. Except that the pulsar did not use a GTR engine. NIssan would do good to take cues from this project and put out a GTiR version of the Juke with the turbocharged 4 juiced up with a 6 speed manual to take pro rally racing.

It would do wonders to turn the Juke into some strange but cool cult status vehicle. It would almost be like the whole Scion thing. A little strange possibly ugly but damn aggessive and cool.

They already have the Cube, Now the Juke( with a GTiR version, could fall into the next slot, shit they could redo the Altima coupe to put it more in line with a TC and then the final icing on the cake would be a New S chassis replacement. To answer the FRS/BRZ.

That would effectively take on the Scion marketplace car wise. It could do a lot to attract a lot of younger buyers. Hello NIssan Japan are listening? Marketing strategy here! Wake up. Step Up.

You and me both...and that's about it on here I think. lol

This thing will NEVER EVER see the light of day in any way shape or form. Especially since we now know Nissan didn't even approve the project and aren't happy that it happened.

Most that will come of this is a shitty dealer aero kit.
