Some people do that all the time, but I've never seen it on an LS setup...

Oil never went above 220 which was a big improvement but the coolant was definitely affected. I will probably have to move it. To be fair it was 104° yesterday.

Damn lol what were your oil temps at before?... I don't have an oil temp gauge in my car (sr) but with stock oil capacity I think I'm heatsoaking the oil pretty bad especially seeing what my oil pressure drops to after long drives. Trying to decide whether to put the cooler in front of the wheel or radiator...

They would get to 240~ easy. I had it in front of the wheel with my SR and it didn't do enough and I would still heat soak.

240*F ain't a big deal for a decent motor oil under load, ya'll trippin

Yea but it would never level out. Only way to cool it was shut it off. I hit 250 @ top drift in the finals

Sounds like my problem but it happens to me just cruising down the freeway in this stupid TX heat. Hopefully the massive moroso pan and oil cooler I bought will do something about it.

Thunderhill West is the serious business! I had tons of fun but I got a little to excited pretending I was a time attack car and destroyed my front tires since I run stupid kid camber.

I was standing at the middle of the first corner wall for your battles after Jason Kim and my friends and I kept saying how consistantly close you were getting to the wall. Every run you were the closest one to the wall. Great driving! Congrats on the win!

haha they are. 265/35/18. probably 10% less grip than Federals, 20% more life and $20 cheaper a tire. TR968 I think.
