WKO Pearl White. OEM color. The car still had a good bit of compound residue in this picture.

My zenki on the right. Anyone know if its an original color? It looks like another one I saw but upon closer inspection of mine the pain apears to have hints of almost bluish/purple. Pictures suck but I really need to repain and would like to know the color code.

HAHAHAHAHA - I'm scrolling through the paint thread to get ideas for mine and I have to do a double take.

My 95 Zenki is the exact same color with the exact same crappy fading on the hood and roof. I realize this post is from 2012, but it made me SMH.

It was my parent's car since about 2001, and my dad did everything he could possibly do to stop the fading, but nothing helped. That Colorado sun just killed the paint over time.

My parent's gave the car to me, so it's slowly starting the upgrade process.

I am thinking Starfire Blue Pearl, cause it's sexy and never came on Zenki's.

If its a a zenki and you want a blue thrn go with Mediterranean blue . It was a rare color on zenkis . Imo I dislike seeing kouki colors on zenkis . Its very misleading.

Yeah, not feelin' the Med Blue. I don't really care that it is misleading - that's like saying don't paint your 240sx a color from another auto manufacturer, when there are craploads of people saying super white rules!

does paint price go up depending on color? Like is black more than a gray? Does it go up by what manufacturer made the paint code?

PEDO I am kind of diggin the PlastiDip idea because of price and ease of application. What do you think of the product so far? The only thing that I worry about is longevity of the product as I have read that the PlastiDip is usually only good for about 3-6 months then has to be removed and reapplied. For some reason I was really diggin the Matte Red Supra that I saw on SF.

Dont do it not worth it honestly waste of time and money. I did it to a buddies car in white non the less shit needed a ton of coats and his car was originally white and it peeled off in certain places quickly. Its for sure a 10 foot car, in pics it looks nice but when you look close it looks like shit. Im anal when it comes to stuff like that.

I rather invest in a gun and paint it for real even with a shitty job it looks better then plasti-dipping and it will last you a lot longer.

This is not the Dipyourcar.com kit. Their kit has no UV protection and has to reapplied as often as you mentioned because of the fading. This is a specific formula that the shop that did my car developed after using gallons upon gallons of testing. It is very convenient because you don't need a chemicals permit like for a paint booth. Although using one helps a lot. If you have more specific questions about it you can shoot him a email [email protected]

Mine was sprayed with a professional gun, again not the Dipyourcar.com kit. They use a cheap Wagner gun. A different product was used on my car. It is smooth to the touch and up close looks just as good up close then 10 feet away. Here is an pic up close.
