thoughts on the Federal 595 tires ???????

Has anyone used these before or know if they are a quality tire? I have Kumho Ecsta 711 Supras right now but I am thinking of trying the Federals out. I havent found too many reviews online so anything you guys could tell me would help.

I have them on my civic (DD) that seem nice. I don't beat on them but they seem to get decent traction, they are wearing nicely, barely any noticeable wear after like 15k. They are cheap so you might as well give them a try.

Their cheap as hell for the SS595

They'll last for a while even drifting on them if you use 17's or 18's like I do.

I'm not spinning them like crazy but for the 3 events and I used one pair in the rear, I couldn't be more happier with them. Their awesome priced and good for drifting.

Now rain driving I didn't like it, so I don't drive in the rain with them.

Try it out.GL

best tires...bang for buck. use on my s13 and so far with 3 track events, still grippy. a friend of mine had KDWII. it started to lose its grip by the end of the track day. he says the federals stick until the end of the track event...and i agree. great tires for the money.

With about 300whp, 235/40/17 and 245/40/17 will last you through a whole JD comp from beginning to end if you treat them right.

haha you made the thread before i did, I was going to ask how federal 595s fit, because i've been told by a couple people they look fat/unstretched for this setup

17x9.5 = 235/40/17
18x10.5 = 245/40/18

pics pls =)

Hmm...bad traction in the rain? eeeeeh, I have Kumos/Ectasas and they seem alright but they do slip out as well. Anybody know if 595s slip out worse or no?

I can get 'em for about 60 I think with a hook'ish up.

hey guys a quick question, im getting rt-615s in 235/30/17 for my x9's up front, and i dont know if i should get 245s or 255 Federals in the rear for a x10. i got a s14 with the inside of the rears rolled. which would be a better combo for handling?

Its just for the Stretched look, these are my DD rims.

They hold up great though for only 215's very grippy even in the rain.

Just a note...most folks who run Federals, only run them in the rear for drift tires. Just simply saying they are GREAT tires are a stretch. Yes they are "great" but only in drifting where you dont want them to chunk and just daily driving them.

Now if you want tires that are sticky, dont get the 595SS, get the RS-Rs. Atleast go RS-R up front and regular SS in the rears.

You want better tire options...Dunlop Star Specs is where my moneys at.

^^^

exactly
even drifting, imo they kinda suck
id rather run z1 drifts or even dz101 direzzas over SS

but the price is definately worth it.

I don't think they stretch all that great, they have a weird sidewall and never really LOOKED that cool to me IMO.

Federal stretch (225/40/18 18x9.5 +12)

Good stretch Falken Azenis ST115 (225/40/18 18x9.5 +12)
