It was a solid action movie. Shit didn't need to make sense. There were fun memorable parts that I thoroughly enjoyed.

People that are ok with these kinds of statements are the reason Hollywood puts out shit movies.
They could make a rad fucking movie with a awesome action at the same time,...... but why try? It doesnt even need to make sense for you to give em your money ...........

He is aware of his shit movies.
And if you watch JCVD, you can see he is really trying to turn over a new leaf.
Apparently he asked Sly for the script numerous times, so he could see his character and what it was all about.
Sly never gave him a script and instead just kept saying, dont worry about it, we are gonna make so much money off this.

So he turned it down.

Thats the funny part. One, I knew I was going to go see a pointless movie with a shit-ton of explosions. It was what initially drew me to watching it. It reminded me of an awesome late 80s early 90's action flick.

Now when you bring up Jerry Bruckhiemer shit, then yeah. THAT would be a good example of shit movies.

^what your not understanding is that Those Jerry Bruckiemer movies are really old.

"Shit just got real"........ Expendables is the modern day version of those old Bruckhiemer movies.

late 80's, 90's..... Predator, Terminator 2, Total Recall, Aliens, Tombstone..... Those are action movies, they kick ass, and have plot and make sense.




Maybe i just expect more out of a movie.
Transformers and Expendables just dont do it for me.
"Nostalgia" isnt a plot point in my book.

I said I just forgot, not that I never knew... lol I haven't seen a JCVD movie in probably 10+ years. In the meantime, I'm watching the new era of fighters take over; Donnie Yen, Micheal Jai White, Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins and Lateef Crowder. The techniques JCVD was using when I was 15 don't impress me the same way anymore. You can hop on youtube and see amatures doing that stuff now. After all this time, I wanna see some growth from him as a fighter.

But whatever! I just wanna see him come back. Its PARTY TIME!!!
