That setup looks scary because the purpose of the main hoop is to keep the b-pillars from collapsing. With the way it's set up now, if you flip the car, the side panel and quarter glass will hit the main hoop and the roof will collapse several inches. Since you're tall, the roof will most likely collapse into the space that your helmet usually occupies.

Just curious why you decided to move the main hoop back like that.
I built mine the same way. Basically if there is a roll over, the B-pillar will still only collapse up until the tube anyway, whether is right next to it or not. I'm not sure if he's going to do this when he finishes - but mine is also gusseted to the b-pillar.

Forgot to add - cool cage.
