RC cars are just like regular cars, and by set up, you need to tell me what your doing with the car. Drift, or race? What surfaces (carpet, pavement, concrete?) you can set up a RC car the same as a car with different camber angles, tires, caster, toe, fuck they even sell corner weighting scales for them...

I have a HPI pro2. I really dig the electric cause there low dirt and noise and I can run them indoor. My shits got about 1000 into it and if I run the right motor and a 2 speed with a really high end gear it can get to about 65-70mph.

well like i said I know electric, so I'm not 100% on what motor/pipe to use. You should get some a few sets of wheels/tires and try out different compounds (foam, rubber and PVC [drift only]). Then tune your suspension settings to suit your driving style. There the same as in a car, so camber toe ect. effect the cars handeling the same way. Its just a bit harder to tell if there was any change from a small one.

EDIT: GET A FRONT ONE WAY!!!!!!

To hit those speed you need to play with the gear ratios on the 2speed tranny, and as far as engine hands down Nova Rossi engines are the best of the best, Since its just a fun car a .18 size engine would be best, Nova Rossi engines that have sick power and are for regulation track racing are .12 size with turbo plug for touring cars. RC tech fourms is a very good site I highly recomend reading up on that site. Or pick up some copys of radio control car action very good mag with alot of good info.

I had a fully built gt4 all cf/ alum suspension parts and i forget the type of motor it was a .15 soemthing motor it was a special edition motor that pulled a lot harder than the .18 motor in the new kits. Had a 2speed tranny and had to have radials cuz it pulled super hard. And it still slid like crazy. I think that the gt4 rtr .18 slides pretty good w/ the tires that come w/ it, all you gotta do is add stiffer springs (any hobby shop for like 8bucks). slides better than any other kit w/ just the drift rings on em.
