PLATINUM ONLY! Please read your owners manual. That is NOT a suggestion! If you can't afford the NGK Plat V-Power (Autozone) or the NGK Plat R's (dealer), get the Denso Platinums. They are the same thing. I have had the Denso's in for 10000mi and they are fantastic; no problems at all!
NGK-R's = $3-4 each NGK-V's = $2-3 each Denso's = $2-3 each depending on availablity |

eeek I did not know that. My bro has a lude and he uses copper ones instead of platinum.. so I figured it would be the same for my car. When I bought the car it didn't come with the owners manual. Are bosch platinums good as well?

Actually copper plugs are better for performance, platinum is just for extended life of the plug.. Putting platinum plugs in a car is one reason why so many new car company's have 100,000 miles till first tune up

It's not the exact same engine. Different cams, different pistons, and like I said. It's kind of a marketing ploy... Platinum and iridium plugs just last longer. they don't spark better.

Mazda recommends Plats on the FD but they don't perform for crap the only reason is that rotaries foul plugs like every 1500 miles so most guys use plats to not have to change them. The guys that tend to be more performance based tend to use the non plats and just change them all the time. Iridium actually does work well. But for a rotary they are $35 ea. retail so no one really wants to change those. I have a couple friends that used them for track events then take the plugs out as soon as they are done and save them for the next event. HKS Iridium plugs for the 240sx are not that bad but Nippon Denso makes them for HKS anyways(except for the rotary plugs which ND makes for HKS but does not sell on their own label) so just get the ND ones.
