best seat harness to use with s13?
I'm just wondering what would be the best harness (keep in mind on a budget) to use with a Bride bucket seat in my s13? I don't have a roll cage or bar behind the front seats either.

It may not be the best idea to be harnessed in without any roll over protection. With that said, Crow is good and I've always had great customer service with them. Of course Sparco etc are all just as good. Anything SFI approved is about the same quality.

i'm not too sure if it's standard on all new belts but i'd check if it is ASM (anti-submarine) capable: Elisetalk.com thread
check out the pics of the passenger, and later the whole tread goes on about belt safety. |

The most important thing is you MUST NOT use harnesses without a rollcage, or at the very least a rollbar. The reason is because if your car flips, the factory 3-points allow your head to move, whereas the harness will hold you in place as the roof collapse onto your head.
The second issue is harnesses have to be installed properly, with the proper anti-submariner belt installed at the correct angle. Otherwise 4-point belts are useless. You're much safer with the factory belts. Upgrade to B12 Sentra, S14, or Canadian S13 3-point belts. They're much tighter than the auto belts. |
