OBD 2 trans on an OBD1 car?

While I was away at college this spring my dad found a manual trans for me to use in my auto to manual swap for my '95 s14. so now, finally ready to start the swap, we open up all the wrapping around this new trans and I notice the flywheel rotation sensor on the bellhousing, and ink markings all over designating it as a '97. will I be able to use the OBD2 trans on the OBD1 car, just don't connect that sensor?

It will work. Just use the wiring for your car and the extra sensor leave alone.

Holy fuck.

Have you even looked at your car? The 1995 uses a CPS (crank position sensor) also. All S14s have it. Never heard of a flywheel rotation sensor, that's funny.
