Jim Wolf Technology is the only company that makes an ECU as far as i know.

all you need to know about types of piping bends

crush=bad
mandrel=good

1. Dunno...reprogramming the ECU is the only thing i've heard of.

2. Crush bent is exactly that.  They bend the pipe by shear force.  By doing this, the pipe will not maintain an equal diameter and can restrict air flow.

Mandrel bent is heating the pipe before bending it so that it maintains an equal diameter throughout.

Mandrel bending is more expensive because whereas a jar-blowing monkey can stand on a pipe till it bends, it takes a rather inteligent monkey, or several jar-blowing ones put together to operate a mandrel bending heat machine.

As for the JimWolfe ecu....it is mad expensive. &nbsp;Like $500 bucks depending on your upgrades and state of tune. &nbsp;Now I bet your saying $500 isn't that bad but add on to that the core charge of $600 that brings the total to an astounding level. &nbsp;I say if your not running bigger injectors or a turbo it's not worth it. &nbsp;To get around the core charge you can just wait for your ecu to come back but their turnaround is like a week to two weeks. &nbsp;I looked into geting my SR ecu done but untill I do some SERIOUS MODS I will gladly wait and a standalone engine management ecu would be easier because you won't have to keep sending your shit back to get updated everytime you do a mod <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'>

well if you have never experienced the jwt ecu upgrade then you haven't really done anything. &nbsp;The ecu upgrade is one of the best things you can do to your car. &nbsp;Just look at what you get for your money......7k rev limit, extra 20hps, and no speed limiter....all that for $600. &nbsp; There are only a couple of mods that you can really tell the difference when you put them on. &nbsp; 1.) lightened flywheel. 2.) JWT ecu. 3.) lightened crack pulley. &nbsp;The others like i/h/e &nbsp;they give you like 2 hps and only make it much ricier. &nbsp;

Why would you want to go to 7000 RPM if our cars stop making power at 5500? &nbsp;20 hp is good though.

20 horsepower? &nbsp;I'd have to see it to believe it. &nbsp;Can you explain more?

JET performance also makes an ECU for our cars.. it's about 395 I think.. &nbsp;It doesn't do as much as the JWT though.

first to answer the post....
JWT (Jim Wolf) Ecu is good.
also, if you know someone who knows what they're doing, Haltec(spelling?) is another ECU that a few guys on the FA forum run. It requires you to program it though...so you can't just plug and play..unless you consider programming fuel maps playing.
Haven't heard about JET performance, so I'm not gonna comment.

as with all mods...the more mods you have, the more another mod will give.

I have the JWT ecu, UO pulley, I/H/E, and flywheel...

I can tell you that I/H/E alone will give you MORE then 2hp...way more...you can barely notice 2hp...and you can definately feel the difference between my car and a stock 240, before the flywheel or ecu.

and the JWT is better then stock, it gives you no rev limiter, or one in the 7's...I've revved mine past 7 and no limiter kicked in(accident), it gives you a better fuel map. &nbsp;so the more mods you have, the more noticable the JWT chip's fuel map is. core charge? &nbsp;give them your ecu...no core charge.
and honestly...I didn't feel the pulley at all..oh well...some say they do, so maybe it's just me.
