IMHO.... i think a ricer is someone who has altezzas on a civic and thinks they are hella fast.... no offense to civic owners out there.... i respect civics.... but when someone has the nerve to tell me my car sucks for no reason... than id be mad...but thats my opinion... i know a lot of people that clown on other cars cuz they think that their cars are fast....

IMHO.... RICE=ARRAGANCE

I agree that it is not the car but the attitude of the owner and what he/she does to the car.

Lots of people in here bash on Hondas...but hey I know alot of people who consider 240sx ricey.  I also have friends who have street driven Honda's that are running consistent low 11's at IDRC events.  So Ricers are not what they are just because of what they own.

Ricers are the kids who go WOT from speedbump to speedbump.
Rev at you going the opposite direction or in heavy traffic.
Who believe that loud means fast(though fast cars are usually loud).
Would take $500 and blow $250 on APC lights and the other half on a crappy exhaust instead of just gettin a real exhaust.
Like to look fast but are not fast.
Want to make the cool woosh BOV sound come out of a NA motor.

this might be a little of topic...but has any heard the term "american Rice"  or is it just something that my friends and i all laugh at.  you ever see those guys sporting their mustangs with altezzas or double tier wings and bling bling chrome rims....i just think its kinda of actually worse than being a normal ricer..because normal ricers r kind of trying to imitate the looks of the counterpart european cars... this is just how i feel...but the people with their american cars who try to makee them look european with altezas and shit r just plain retared...it sometimes makes me want to cry because they r diving their american car around when they should be driving a civic...
i am in no way hating on american cars just..."american rice"

Ricers are not kids in honda civics, or hondas at all. The reason most of them have Hondas is because their parents bought them for their first cars because they are A) relatively cheap B) fairly low maintenance C) good on gas and D) somewhat comfortable and spacious. If he goes out and tries to make this car look nice and the way he likes it to make himself stand out, and even if he uses his parents money, then he is not a ricer. What makes him a ricer is if he goes around acting like he's the fastest shit on the road and revving on everyone and trying to race on the street, then he's a ricer. Now I know every single one of you would jump at the chance to mod your car with your parents money, so dont rag on anyone if they actually do. If you just think their car looks like crap, laugh to yourself, joke with your friends, just dont go up to him and say "Man, your car looks like shit, take it home." Now if you go and rag on someone just because they have a Honda, I'll introduce you to my friend Robbie, who happens to have one of the fastest streetable Hondas I know of. He's got a Civic hatch with a swapped and fully built B18C1 Integra GS-R motor with a Turbonetics T61 turbo and Indy Race Cores custom intercooler set up. Now last year, with an unbuilt B18 and smaller turbo, he pulled down an 11.68 in the quarter mile. Honda doesnt mean ricer. I'm tired of everyone associating Honda with ricer. Cause I've seen some pretty riced out Toyotas, Dodges, Mazdas, and yes, even Nissans.

Once again, this is my opinion.</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
Wow....that was the best explination of ricer that I've seen. Nice job.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
