not so. we ran mine z32 maf with a stock ecu. we got it to run fine i just cant remember how. Okay I'm trying to understand why he would get a Z32 MAF to put on a supposedly stock KA? That would cause him to run incredibly poorly wouldn't it? I don't know much about the difference in the two MAFs but I would think on a stock car, get a stock replacment. Problem solved.
As far as the bad prong on the MAF.....how the hell did that happen? did you jam it with a screwdriver, or drop kick it? those thing aren't easy to bend due to the recessed setup of the prongs in the housing. Wierd. I would just go to your local junk yard and source one out. Best choice....if you've got 50 bucks laying around that is.
