so is it a wiring problem, or is my starter just fucked???

Unplug the solenoid lead. If it still tries to start then the solenoid is bad and fused together. If it doesn't, then you've got the solenoid lead shorted to another wire somewhere in the car, or possibly the ignition switch is broken and stuck in the start position.
