hmm, sounds like the G35 could be the new skyline GTS.
An FR G35 with that motor, and a lower price tag than the GTR just may be the ticket. But the Kabura MX4 is still appealing, especially a turbocharged Mazdaspeed variant. It looks like we're entering a new sportscar renissance, much like we did back in the early 90's. We have Evo's, STi's, a new Supra, the Kabura, the GTR, the Z, and the Solstice/Sky, among others. I just hope the automakers can learn from the mistakes they made back then that combined with the rise of SUV's killed off the sports car in the US for a while. We saw the 240SX, 300ZX, RX7, Supra, and 3000GT all fall due to being packed with technology and being priced out of their market. I see this trend starting to rear it's ugly head again, with only the Kabura and GM roadsters appearing to remain at an affodable level for the average enthusiast, with the prices on Evos and others rising as the years go on. Hopefully this new generation oof sports cars won't relive the mistakes their forefathers had. |
