you can get a diff with a higher ratio. don't know from what car you get it from but i believe there are swappable 4.3 diffs. someone chime in if i'm not completely right.

I say sell it and buy a tractor.
After you buy the tractor get some land and start farming corn, tomatoes, carrots and potatoes IN THAT ORDER. When you sleep at night you will sleep with your feet on your pillow and your head at the base of the bed. This sleeping position will protect the cornstocks from RABBOTS. Harvest all your crops except the carrots. Go to a market and sell them. AQUIRE MONEYS//. After you aquire money do the same process again 7 and 1/2 times. You will then have enough to buy a Nissan 240sx, log on to www.zilvia.net and ask a question about 6 speed single slammin bammy wammin fun cakes. Mix and repeat and buy an Opel from Europe. |

umm
well really i would like more gears so i could be a little quicker and reduce rpms/ get a little more topend- even though its useless. but mainly just getting quicker. a friend of mine said that the chunk out of a 240z rearend looked similar, and it was a 4 speed that would do about 130/40 in 3rd, but is still quick. so I figured if it would fit then it would maybe make mine a little quicker
you know, I been thoughtin bout gittin one adem tracktors but i figered it might mess this purdy mullet up! |

there was a post somewhere on the 240sxforums about which trannies will fit the Ka, they will fit as long as the serial or whatever number begins with FH, FJ, or somethin. i dont feel like searching it but help yourself, give it a shot. you'll find something but i'm sure theres no other tranny that will fit without modification to the tranny tunnel/shifter hole

Well if ya wanted to be quicker and have more room in top gear, more gears is your only option. The S15 6spd should be the easiest option (it fits, and I think the SR and KA bolt on swaps). I dont know miuch about the SR though. T56's are reasonably priced. The 350Z 6spd can be fitted, but theyre relatively rare and expensive.
If you want to change the rear end gear, there are tons of OEM options from 3.545 (Q45) to 4.36 (some JDM S chassis)... |

Are you out to post as many useless threads as possible in less than a week?
Nismo makes ring/pinion gears to change your final drive. The s15 6spd tranny sucks being as how it's more fragile than the sr and ka tranny. You aren't going to be able to have low rpms and fast accel. So you'll need to choose one.
