If I put an imported SR20det in my car and something like the starter or clutch or alternator or something stops working where can I get parts?  Are the american sr20s compatible.  Any info would help. Thanks

I may be mistaken, but that is jdm spec engine not US.

I believe some USDM Sentras have a FWD SR20DE (no turbo)...however I'm not sure how many parts are interchangeable...I would think they have alot in common but I honestly have no idea.

some parts yes, some parts no....I've been watching the 240sx.org mailing list for the past year, and I know that they get some parts off of the sentra, some off other cars....but still, a lot of stuff isn't. hey sleeper,

go to www.heavythrottle.com.  they have tons of parts and shit for the SR20DET and they also have a cross reference chart of what parts you can get from other engines that will fit on the SR i.e.  some parts(can't remember) from the DOHC KA are interchangeable.  Check it out.  hope that helps.
