I ordered some Tanabe 7 coilovers from this company a while ago.
At first I was reluctant to do so b/c they had some negative reviews, but it was regarding sr swaps, and not new aftermarket parts from a large scale well reputed manufacturer.
However, the price was so tempting (1,380) that I gave them a try.
So, I purchased a set of coilovers through them 3-4 weeks ago via their website, and made special note that they let me know if they had the parts in stock and to send me shipping info.
I gave them a call one week later to follow up. The sales rep I spoke to said they did not have the parts in stock and will have Tanabe drop ship the parts, which takes 2-4 weeks.

Fast forward to 3-4 weeks later, i called again to follow up. I checked their website, and the coilover price had raised by another $300 from $1,380 to $1,680.
Their sales rep said they cancelled my order and they no longer work with Tanabe. They came across as being unproffesional. Not only did they not even bother to call me for cancelling my order, but the rep was completely unapologetic and irresponsible.
My guess is that they screwed up on their pricing, and were not willing to fess up to their error. If it was the case that they admitted their mistake and apologized, I would have respected that but they clearly did not.

Fortunately, for my sake (and to their merit) my credit card was not charged.
However, I would not feel comfortable purchasing from this business and i urge other potential customers to be skepticle about doing business with a company which has poor customer service and lacks responsibility. I could imagine the situation being a lot worse should someone be interested in purchasing something like an engine swap or other used expensive parts.

hmm...tanabe doesn't drop ship.

I just purchased a K&N filter from them and it did take a while for me to receive it, but I DID get it. Sorry to hear that. Their whse said Texas, but the product shipped from Azusa, Ca.
