Prosport gauges

Ok, heres my say on them

THey are cheap, and i expect all things to be cheap about them.
In a way it is, in a way its not
Its a ghetto opening ceremony, not even should really be called that, just an opening sweep.
The gauge retainer in the rear sucks, its either too long or too short depending on how you want to mount it.
i had to trim it down to make it work
All i have hooked up so far is the Boost gauge
electronic

Scale is off one notch under 0.
LEDs are somewhat unevenly lit, but needle movement is flawless, not notching or weird movements.
wiring is straight forward, but i wish thtye would have included more wire so i didnt have to go buy any, but thats part of the game i guess.

Overall, for the cash invested (160.00 for 4 electronic gauges with senders) its not a bad deal.
They work as advertised, are pretty, and match my gauge cluster.
get them, its better than having no gauges at all. And i was just getting to tide me over until i get a good deal on defis

Funny you posted this thread...

The guys just put a set in the turbo stang (580 rwhp, 630 ft lbs at 13 psi) and the owner loves them...fabbed up a nice little triple pod holder and put them to work.

THe opening ceremony isn't bad at all (IMO) and the gauges work great (the boost level on gauge, as well as AFR mimiced the AEM EMS readouts...

Here is a little video of them starting up. Don't mind the fuel pump noise

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0WVHJemtYQ

Are they Defi/Nexus? No....but they weren't purchased to be 'better' (which I still feal is debatable)...just to look neat, work, and be done. I've never been a big 'buyer' into the fancy pricey gauges, and more of gauges that work. These gauges match the readouts on the EMS, so IMO that is as good as you're gonna ever get....

Also, as far as the A/F gauge is cncerned: It actually provides a real wideband output, however the first 30 seconds of display actually display the voltage on car....kinda neat
For the price, you can't beat them.

My boy has them in his MR2. They work fine and haven't broken yet. So sounds good enough.

What do you have the a/f gauge hooked up to? When I asked about wideband compatability in an email they told me "Our current AFR gauge will not work with any wideband O2 sensor. Still no release date on our Wideband AFR Gauge."

And This is taken from the site under the wideband sensor page: "Wideband O2 Sensor Soon to be used with our Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge!"
