how much hp do you think you can put on a ka with stock internals.  the only thing that is changed is the fuel pump(lets say a 300zx feul pump)

seen the dyno charts for an S14 KA boosted at 14.5 psi at 320rwhp....
the general safe S13 DOHC KA figure is around 250 hp.
This is all for stock bottom ends....

Half-a-bar max. Pistons aren't that strong. The crankshaft can handle it, but not the rods and the pistons&rings. 7 psis would be a smart thing to do. That'd still get you to about 200-something horses.

the nsport kit pushes 7 psi and runs about 240hp..  

sounds like a crapload of fun to me!!

Given you have an upgraded fuel pump, I'd say no more than 12 psi.  How big are your injectors?  Before you decide to bump up the boost you might want to consider getting larger injectors (at least 370cc).  Next would be an EGT to monitor the exhaust.  I learned the hard way and ran 10 psi with stock injectors.
