Will I be happy with Eibach Springs?

I'm looking at springs for my S13.  I know eibach makes good springs... anyone have any other suggestions?  I want about 1.8-2" drop.. I dont want my car to be dragging on the ground, I just want less body roll and a nicer stance with no camber problems.

i too would be interested in hearing some reviews of both the pro kit and sportlines, possibly if some one has the kyb or koni shocks with the eibachs it would be nice to hear a review on those as well... i am looking to do shocks and springs as my next upgrade.

Bb..........given the qualifications you listed......it seems to me that the prokit would be the perfect spring for you.

ive heard bad things about eibachs with 240s...i think it was camppain that ordered some springs, and it actually raised his car....im not sure if i remember the whole story correctly so i'll let him or someone hwo know shte story finish it, i dont want to screw it up <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

i have the pro-kits on my car, and the car feels prty good with them on. &nbsp;the drop isn't very noticeable, but u'll feel it once u start aggresively driving. &nbsp;i don't hafta worry about speed bumps and dips as much, too.

sportlines will provide the drop ur looking for. &nbsp;but u'll need to correct the camber w/ the sportlines. &nbsp;iirc, most ppl say that the sportlines don't perform as well as the pro-kit.

The longer I've had the ProKits, the more dis-satisfied I am with them. &nbsp;They only lowered the car about 0.5"; and the better I get at pushing the suspension to the limit, the less able they seem to control body roll.

They're paired with KYB AGX's and Whiteline adj'ble sway bars (which are both great)
Next time around, I'm going with stiffer, ride/height adj'ble coilovers.

I've just installed the sportline springs in my 240 last night. &nbsp;The drop was pretty noticable from the outside. &nbsp;Since I haven't driven the car agressivly since I've put the springs in I can't comment just yet on how different the car really handles. &nbsp;But at a glance it does feel like there is less body roll on some corners. &nbsp;

I'll comment again after this weekend when I run in a drift competition and find the limits of the springs.

my lord guys.......the prokits aren't supposed to be a competition spring. if you want a spring for that application, call up ground control (eibach makes their springs). yes, they are too soft for the track, are they too soft for the street? i would say absolutely not. you don't ask a piece of fishing line to do the same job an aircraft cable does do you?

The Pro-kits are good street springs while the Sportlines are for more "spirited" driving. &nbsp;It's a matter of personal preference. &nbsp;Meanwhile, Eibach makes an excellent product for the 240

I'm with Travis on this. &nbsp;I would definately consider Pro-Kits for my s14 b/c the car won't be seeing many more days of closed course abuse. &nbsp;If it were, I'd be investing in some super rates. &nbsp;Ride height is another issue entirely.

Gamblerz - most review of Sportlines show they are more for spirited pimpin' than actually driving. &nbsp;Given the slight increase in rate and the significant increase in drop, unless you have short stroke shocks, you WILL ride like sh!te. &nbsp;(there's a reason Pro-Kits are more costly <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp. &nbsp;Now, why someone would pair a $750 for nice shocks and then skimp on springs... only uuninja can answer &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Compare your car height with the specs in the fsm. &nbsp;Your stock springs were probably lower becaues of the milage. &nbsp;At least that was the case when I installed prokit with agx's.

That may be true, but the car still has some major ride height and wheel gap.

So if you want it dropped, they're probably not what you want (for the S13). &nbsp;
Please understand I'm not saying they're just horrible; it's just there is plenty of room for improvement IMHO.
BTW, what &nbsp;are the height specs from the FSM (I don't have one...yet).

Here are the specs for a '92 hatchback.

Distances from the fender to the ground
front 694 mm (27.32 in)
rear &nbsp;670 mm (26.38 in)

Fuel, radiator collant and engine oil full. Spare tire, jack, hand tools and mats in designated positions.

Well, I guess I stand corrected about only lowering .5".
I got curious and went and measured my ride height. &nbsp;I'm assuming the factory specs are taken from the ground to the highest part of the fender lip?
May not be exact b/c it's dark, but I got:
fr--26"
fl--25 3/4"
rr--25"
rl--25 1/8"
That's with .2" smaller radius tires, a 12" sub/box in trunk, 1/4 tank gas, and full fluids. &nbsp;Adding the .2" back to the ride height I got a drop of:
fr--1.52"
fl--1.77"
rr--1.58"
rl--1.46"
But I swear it doesn't look it. &nbsp;And what's up with the front left being 1/4" more drop? &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'>

i have prokits and its a whole lot better than stock, and i was already impressed with stock. &nbsp;can someone clarify? &nbsp;prokits arent good for handling? &nbsp;i really like performance handling and im considering buying new springs, any recommendations?

I dont know about you guys but Ive got sprint springs with the 2 inch drop in the front and back and i love em! &nbsp;Good ride and handling, the best of both worlds. &nbsp;I got the sprints because a buddy of mine had the eibachs and said that they were too stiff. &nbsp;If I'm wrong let me know but id go for sprints.

eibach sucks ass! plain and simple their cust serv sucks ass along with their tech dept. fodive is correct in me having issues. they raised my car when compared to other stock 240's. took me over 5 months in dealing with them to get replacements that they said would lower the car like they said it would. fisrt i always had to call them back since they wouldnt call back or reply to emails like they saiod they would. second i got a supervisor involved. the damn sup for the tech dept! then they said the springs were manufactured to high (bullshit) then they sent me replacement (used) springs that they said were prototypes without me accepting thinking i would be silenced. then they finally sent me "the so called redesigned springs" and said these would lower my car and are the right ones. so being the curious lil shit i am when i took the old ones out i measured both of them side by side and they were the same height after they said that was the issue. i have pics and the emails from them still. the one time i felt like making a topic about my ordeal zilvia was going thru testicle difficulties so my post got deleted.

EIBACHS SUCK period even for a schmoe joe rim. i wont even get these for my sentra! gc can kiss my butt too since they use eibach

i was considering the sportlines due to the fact that the pro kit is much more expensive, but after reading and looking around i think i might go with the H&R springs....

what is the comparison between the h&r and the sportlines?

im happy, well not really but glad that i saw this before my purchase of course, but.. im not real UP on other spring companies so what should other company should i be looking at to get me about 1.75-2 inch drop maybe 1.5 i dunno.. but right now i have quite a gap... throw me some companies that you actually DO like thx
