I should have put "driving hard" as well, since I tend to do that with all the cars I own. It's not that I disagree with these gauges, it's that most people (even on here) don't know how to read them (oooh, air fuel ratio gauge, nice pretty lights). Whatever, I don't care.

The 240 has an oil warning light that doesn't warn before damage is done, and a water temp gauge that doesn't work worth a damn either.

I think almost every car out there that is popular with this whole drift/tuner/tool "scene" has bullshit OEM gauges that read "cold - good - you're fucked," never have seen one that actually worked very well. Maybe newer cars, but not many that are popular on here.

Yep, even on the Miata I modified the stock gauges to actually be useful. The oil pressure, while not perfectly accurate, actually moves now whereas stock - it was fucking useless. It basically said "pressure" or "no pressure," and thats it.

I know the SR is obviously stock in certain countries, my dear friend, but my point was that any turbo (or higher performance motor) should have sufficient monitoring devices.

I think its a shame when companies cheap out, like cadillac.. setting up "warning lights" and THATS IT. Real cars need real gauges, period.

im making a setup for it to sit nicely in the stock gauge cluster as well, so will still be like my old setup w/ the stok plastic cover and all!

Ok, the absolutely cleanest/most unique guage setup I have ever seen was on an R34. This guy made a custom bracket of some sort that had his Defi's hanging right below his rear view mirror. This was sick!! That's what I plan on doing also I'm sure Kevin has seen it, if not stop by HRO, it's a silver R34. Sometimes he's there, sometimes he isn't. Pretty nice IMO
