Searched a lot and learned a lot. HUD question still.

I have dohc ka and pulled the hud from dohc ka and got the harness and everything for 40 bucks. I pulled old harness and put new one in and plugged it up. everything works but speedo and I know it could be a broken solder and all that but my question is does it literally plug in or do some wires on a connector need to be relocated.

Are you sure it's not just the usual HUD problem?... drive it for awhile, let it warm up, and see if it comes on.

So it does does literally plug in? My car won't run right now its a combo of timing, a sensor maybe, and a confirmed vac leak.

My hud unit itself (not cluster) lights up slightly. The far right 8 only lights up like a backward L on bottom right.

yes have done it, it works if hud is not completly dead, with hud out of cluster, turn it on and you should see very faint light up red stripes, if those arnt on, walk to garbage can, and drop contents of hand into garbage can. yes its plug and play

Thanks. Everything works but speedo and when I held the soldering iron there for a while it did show zero so all I need now is that capacitor.
