s14/s15 motors are LOW PORT, for better torque. S13 are high port, for more top end...Low/High refers to how the fuel gets squirted into the cylinders.
S14 adds T28, VTC..
S15 adds an inconel turbine exhaust prop, wall between wastegate and turbine..and 444cc injectors instead of 370s. S15 turbos can be pushed for a bit more power. also, 444cc injectors will run a bit more boost without the need to upgrade, unlike the 370s...saving you $400/$500 for new injectors, atleast for a while...

VTC/low port adds much more torque.. however.. VTC motors are prone to snapping cams around 400hp, maybe a little more.. maybe a little less.. if you plan on pimpifying your motor with a rebuild and big turbo, dont waste your money on s14/s15 motor.. VTC alone isnt worth it.. and you would have to switch heads regardless after about 400 horse... if u plan running sub 400hp and no rebuild, s14/s15 motor is your best option, due to the lower mileage...
