...I played in the snow in a friends FWD Corolla. Haha...FF drifter here ! I looked like I was straight out of an Options Video !

Hehe...anyway....so yeah....what's the crew name ? What about the drift deal (Erdhal?!?!) ?

DRIFT CREW:
I think the idea of this would be to get ourselves established as a *real* drift club. Get the drift scene going in this area and eventually when we get enough peeps involved...we can even take it to another level. Kinda like how kids race up at Metro (not anymore though...) or even V Street (way back in the day...) I want to see us bring that level of interest and competition the the drift scene here. Maybe to the point where we can actually hold drift event at places like VIR or Englishtowne (I think they just built a road course not too long ago...) or even just challenge other *crews* to a drift-out.

I like your idea chunky, however in reality their are only a few of us who go out their and practice. The rest just talk about it, when I talk to people  (in person) there always like, Yeah I'll go drifting next time it rains. Do they ever show up? No.

We've got our four core members, and before we can actually establish ourselves as a real drift team we actually have to get kinda good. We'll joke and say that we're good or talk about who's better than who but when it comes down to it we all suck. A real drifter would laugh at what we do.

So at this point, we have a name we have a goal. What I would like to do is lay low for a bit and just practice. Then after we make our video we can come out and start doing things like events etc etc.

Now about this Northern VA club. I give up. It's not gonna work. Simple. We haven't thought of a name, we haven't had ANY meetings, no body is really serious about it. Done, nada, zip.

This is exactly why this club/team/group is not going anywhere.

let me give you an example. During winter I can't really go practice as much as I'd like to nor can the people on this team however instead of sitting on our asses and doing nothing we have people making logos, were working on making a video were doing tons of stuff.

I'm not trying to bitch/moan/whine/cry I'm just trying to say that this is why this whole thing fell flat on it's face. Two many people not enough action.

NE ways. i'll be out at Rockville this weekend. THis is the first weekend in a while that is should be good outside to be there. Its been so cold.

***IDEA***  A Christmas break meet would be cool.  THat way all those away at college go hit up a meet, and those far away could have time off to go to a meet.  My idea is that we have the meet at Potomac Mills Mall.  BIg Parking Lot ....and Initial D at the arcade.  I think that would be a phat meet, but then again i may just be acting like a little kid.  Oh well....what do you guys think?

Thats cool....i want to hit up a meet. Actually the last couple of weekends that i have been going up to rockville and it was kinda weak so my little group rolls back down to the Tysons area (around 1030-1100 or so) where i live and we hang out at the McDonald's On 123 and old courthouse road (the one directly across from the "toilet bowl" building..if you know where that is). Ne ways, we chill there....grab some grub and shoot the sheit until a good amount of people show up. Once there are some people, we make our way out to a strip behind Tysons II (Galleria) where there is a pretty long straight road were some people like to run. There are lots of high school kids, but not too many crazy people (eg. Peelouts and stuff). Ne ways it would be cool if u guys wanted to roll up there and check it out. It is really nothing big, but it would be cool if we had a kind of "mini-meet". Whatever...just tell me what ya think and if you are up to it, just swing by.

If coilovers let me know what your looking for....I might....MIGHT get a deal on them.

Rockville is getting old because you go almost every Friday and you get bored when its the same thing over and over again.....like they say too much of a good thing is bad (such as boost).

But I'll show up next summer...hopefully with a hot chick or a fast car.

The rest just talk about it, when I talk to people  (in person) there always like, Yeah I'll go drifting next time it rains. Do they ever show up? No. We've got our four core members, and before we can actually establish ourselves as a real drift team we actually have to get kinda good. We'll joke and say that we're good or talk about who's better than who but when it comes down to it we all suck. A real drifter would laugh at what we do. So at this point, we have a name we have a goal. What I would like to do is lay low for a bit and just practice. Then after we make our video we can come out and start doing things like events etc etc. ------------------------------------------------------------ Now about this Northern VA club. I give up. Actually the last couple of weekends that i have been going up to rockville and it was kinda weak so my little group rolls back down to the Tysons area (around 1030-1100 or so) where i live and we hang out at the McDonald's On 123 and old courthouse road (the one directly across from the "toilet bowl" building..if you know where that is). Ne ways, we chill there....grab some grub and shoot the sheit until a good amount of people show up. Once there are some people, we make our way out to a strip behind Tysons II (Galleria) where there is a pretty long straight road were some people like to run. There are lots of high school kids, but not too many crazy people (eg. Peelouts and stuff). Ne ways it would be cool if u guys wanted to roll up there and check it out. It is really nothing big, but it would be cool if we had a kind of "mini-meet". Whatever...just tell me what ya think and if you are up to it, just swing by. __________________ PJ
