Clutch Fluid

Where is the Clutch fluid Refill and the Transmission fluid Refill. My clutch holds while I'm in third when I floor it, but if I do a quick sprint from 40 to 90 when I switch to 3rd I slips like a mofo. I Don't know if it's my clutch or if I'm low of fluid for some reason because it does grab while flooring it in third it's just the shift to third that it slips.

Any Idea or Thoughts?

dunno what exactly the problem is, but i think the clutch fluid resevior is on the drivers side behind the airbox. the other one back by the firewall is for brake fluid.

This may be another S13/S14 difference.  If you have an S13, the clutch fluid resevoir is next to the brake resevoir on the fire wall in front of the driver.  It's the much smaller one.  Bleeding it is done from under the car on the passenger side.

I think tnord's reply refers to the location on an S14.

The trans is drianed from a plug on the bottom of the case, and is refilled by a similar looking plug on the passenger side of the trans case.  Both plugs require a 1/2" square socket (the attachment part of a socket wrench, same as the diff, same fluid too).

I think Travis might be confusing the clutch reservoir for the power steering reservoir.

I finally figured out why my clutch pedle has no Compression. I thought it would be because it was low on Clutch fluid, but the resevior was full. So I couldn't figure out why there was no compression.

I just got back from aamco and my clutch fluid is seeping out around where the rod comes into the car and attaches to my clutch pedle. So my clutch sleeve (I think that is what they called it. It was a something sleeve or sleeve something)anyway it was bone dry. The fluid wasn't leaking fast enough to show in the resevior so it looked full, when really it was just sitting there doing nothing.

So I'm putting a complete new hydraulic system in tomarrow. Or aamco is rather. Getting a new clutch master cylinder (Or is it a slave cylinder lol) I don't know. I'm getting one of those and a new sleeve thingy. I'm Pretty happy they found something wrong with it cause the clutch pedal was really irritating.

Thanks for all your help though. The reason I was trying to figure out which was the clutch fluid resevior and what the other one was is because my power steering fluid was low and I thought maybe I got confused on which was clutch fluid since I had no compression in my peddle.
